Chunky Camel Stripe Alpaca Throw — Handwoven in Peru
Woven from 75% alpaca and 25% wool in the Peruvian highlands, this throw is the piece guests reach for and then ask about. Alpaca is softer than cashmere, warmer than lamb's wool, and resists pilling — the reason the Inca valued the fiber above gold and silver.
Handwoven by small artisanal farming families using traditional methods, with sustainability monitored at every stage. No harsh chemicals. Slight variations between pieces are the mark of hand-work, not a flaw.

Materials & provenance
Alpaca fiber comes from smallholder farmers in the Peruvian Andes who work by traditional methods. The animals graze freely and are not harmed during shearing. The fiber contains microscopic air pockets, which is how it insulates without weight, and it takes natural dye while keeping its luster. The craft of spinning and knitting here has passed from generation to generation.
